The Board of Directors is made up of seven Gulf Coast Mensa members, elected by popular vote by the membership of GCM, to oversee the administrative needs of the group as a whole. The Board of Directors members serve a one-year term, beginning each year on January 1st. There is a term limit of four consecutive terms for every ExComm member, and two consecutive terms in a single position. The only exception to the four term limit is that an outgoing LocSec may remain for a fifth term as Past LocSec. Note that Board of Directors members may also hold positions as Appointed Officers as well; there are no term limits on officer appointments, and each appointed position is renewed (or dropped) upon the seating of a new Board of Directors.
