All Gulf Coast Members, family & friends are encouraged to attend the next Meeting of the Minds - Friday Sept. 17, 2010
We value your input and your time. Hence, we are changing our meeting emphasis to a quality ‘Meeting of the Minds’ whereby we provide hospitality, information, education and networking on a quarterly basis. The speaker series and other activities will continue as neighborhood opportunities to gather. However, for our group to grow,to foster intelligence and have a community presence…members, whether active or not, should make the quarterly gathering a major priority.
Dates to save in your calendar: 9/17/10, Early December (Date to be determined for Christmas Party), 3/18/11, 5/26-5/30/11 (SynR2011).
Pre-registration for SynRG 2011 has begun! More details to come... |

There is no T.I.N.D.O.M.O outing scheduled for the month of September. However, there is the Lone Star Regional Gathering in Austin. Please check the calender for details on Sept. 3 - 6 and get together with fellow Gulf Coast Mensans to carpool or connect at the event.
Is there something you would like to do but would not venture on your own? Make your suggestion and let's try something new. Send to: secretary@gcmensa.org |

We did it! The energy and enthusiasm of loving members of Gulf Coast Mensa and the faithfulness of SynRG2010 participants made a success out of 'The Times They Are-A Changin'.
I would like to thank all those who attended the Speaker Program SynRG 2010 and especially thank the speakers who gave of their time freely: Nina Friedman Nash, Brook Carey, Ira Wilsker, Dr. Paul Abell, Sue Brooks, Trisha Royal, Dr. Michael Tobis, John Moffitt, Hank Moore, Ken Marsh, Erica O'Grady, and Ola Joseph.
We want to thank and recognize the members and relatives of members who gave us special activities and workshops: Karl Caillouet, Patsy Graham, MaDiana Diaz, John & Gerri Needmidge, Elizabeth Meadows, Amanda Moses, Chris & Patty Williams, and Bob Hrcnir.
We especially want to thank our scotchmaster and music man - Clarence Parker who was appointed a 'Hell's Mensan' party animal for his extreme measures in making sure we all had a great time.
If you have any pictures to add to the event gallery or newsletter, please send to: secretary@gcmensa.org

From time to time, unfortunately, members of Mensa make themselves so obnoxious that their fellow members, in self-defense, find it necessary to impose some sort of disciplinary action upon the miscreants. This is accomplished by means of the procedures specified in Article IX of the Bylaws of American Mensa, which can be found on the national website (www.us.mensa.org).
